Welcome back
Jazzed in New Orleans
Even with 2,000 Lemon Heads, nearly 600 Lemon Inspections and one Sea Doo __ NADA 2005 was
more than a numbers game for Dealer Impact Systems. Our booth welcomed dealers from all
50 states and several foreign countries, many of whom took the opportunity to sit down with
our experts and go through a Lemon Inspection. We found that many dealers are actively
looking to improve their Internet marketing results and seeking a solution. Returning
to our home base, our Inspectors are busy reviewing websites and questionnaires and
writing Inspection reports to be sent to dealers throughout the United States. We're also
shipping a Sea Doo to one lucky winner. If you registered to win, keep an eye on your
email inbox for a special announcement.

Lemon Inspection update
Why are dealers putting their Web site and strategy through Dealer Impact's Lemon
Inspector? Because they know they should be getting more from their Internet marketing
efforts. Here are a few excerpts from several Lemon Inspection questionnaires:
- We do a great job capturing, but need help in improving retention and excitement as well as useful information.
- We don't get any sales from our website
- We are looking into different ways to draw business to us than conventional ways i.e., paper, radio, tv, etc.
- I don't feel my website drives much traffic
- Currently very few Internet leads are received through our web site
- I am only receiving 1-5 prospects monthly through internet marketing
- We really do not have a "strategy" for our web site
- I do not feel like we are getting enough direct leads from the website
Since launching www.lemoninspection.com
in early December, Dealer Impact has evaluated the Web sites and strategies of dealers
throughout the United States. In the process, we've provided an objective analysis that
some may use to get more from their Internet marketing plan. Of course, we think our
systems and products, training and support, will make a difference too. After all, it's
our business. More importantly, we want to open some eyes and empower dealers in their
Internet marketing efforts.

More car dealers are embracing Internet
BY JAMIE BUTTERS

February 2, 2005
NEW ORLEANS -- After once fearing or resenting the Internet, most auto dealers now see the
global computer network as another way to do what they want to do: sell you a car, maintain
and repair it and sell you another one.
At the annual convention of the National Automobile Dealers Association, which ended Tuesday
in New Orleans, 84 of the roughly 600 exhibitors -- 14 percent -- identify themselves as
Internet companies.
It isn't clear how that compares with previous years' conventions, but the technology is
definitely gaining acceptance among dealers.
"You absolutely have to be on the Internet," said Scott R. Chambers, 32, a native of
Bloomfield Township, who now owns four Kia franchises in South Carolina with his dad.
"Customers expect to be able to talk to you through the Internet.

Almost half of drivers 60 and older use Internet to research cars
AIADA News
By Pamela Yaeger
After more than twenty years of chauffeuring her four sparring kids around in the backseat of a fleet of GM
sedans, Jenny Lane deserved a break. With the oldest three in college and the youngest sporting the most
carefully-waxed sports car in his high school parking lot, Lane was ready to ditch the "Mommy-mobile" for
something a little smaller, a little sexier, and a little less practical.
